2010 Masters Preview & Insight
What sporting event equals the Masters? I can only think of a couple that draw that much attention and anticipation…Kentucky Derby & March Madness !! The Masters is truly an original with it’s own rules and regulations compared t the rest of the tour events. This year will obviously be even more of a spectacle with the return of Tiger and all the madness he will command due to his velcro pants.
Everyone has their own opinions on what Tiger will come in at but who really knows for sure and who would even want to follow that gallery when chances are you will have some of the other top players in the world completely spectator free? We here at golfloolah have some insight that might peak your interest as people to watch this year.
In the last five years Mickelson, Woods & Goosen have all be in striking distance coming home to win the green jacket…. so i would not bet against any of them. Although, some dark horses that might have some good odds in the calcutta or any other pool/betting we see as the following:

In addition you can expect the winner t come in somewhere around -7 to -12 with a total about 280 give or take a stroke or so. I don’t want to say bank on it but if history is any indication then these would be viable.

Great app,..great site,..however when you ask what spoeting event equqls the Masters,..and mention The Derby and March Madness,..you failed to mention the World Series of Poker,..which is now FAR and away the richest sporting event in the universe. I am available and have some contacts at Harrahs if you wanna set up a booth/get some exposure at the richest sporting event yet devised by man. Cheers Carl Adkins.
Carl, thanks for the kind words !! We are looking forward to some good feedback about our app when it launches around the Masters next week. When comparing sporting events i was doing it in more of the spectacle and draw of the event rather then the purse it provides the winner. There are plenty of high stakes sporting events out there and by no means are the of lesser importance just different appeal. I am a poker fan and player so i hear where you are coming from. Paddy is obviously a very viable choice as well….never really know who will show up but traditional he has not done well at the Masters
Boobs Mickelson is a stud when it comes to the Masters but I don’t think -6 is going to be enough…..
Have to say I believe Mike Weir at 8 under
Traditionally he is a good player on Augusta, but we will have to see considering his lack luster start to the season.
